PORT ST. LUCIE WILDLIFE
WHY PORT ST. LUCIE HOMES GET WILDLIFE IN THE ATTIC
Port St. Lucie sits between preserve land, canal banks and dense oak and palm canopy, and neighborhoods from River Park to Tradition are built right up against that habitat. Roof rats, raccoons, squirrels, opossums and armadillos treat those blocks as feeding routes, and a warm attic above an air-conditioned ceiling is the safest den on the street.
Our building stock makes it easy. Tile and shingle roofs with long soffit runs, screen enclosures and gable vents all flex in the summer heat and storm season, opening gaps a raccoon can widen in minutes and a rat can slip through at the size of a quarter.
Because breeding continues nearly year-round on the Treasure Coast, a single animal in March can be a litter in the insulation by April. That is why we treat every call as inspection first, not trap first.

WHAT TO LISTEN & LOOK FOR
SIGNS OF WILDLIFE ACTIVITY IN YOUR HOME
HOW THEY GET IN
THE ENTRY POINTS WE FIND MOST OFTEN
Soffit and fascia gaps opened by Florida heat, wind and storm flexing
Unscreened gable, roof and dryer vents on 1990s–2000s builds
Tile roof edges and lifted returns with open ridge and valley voids
Plumbing stacks, AC line chases and utility penetrations left unsealed
Gnaw marks on wires, food packaging or wood
Overhanging oak, palm and ficus limbs acting as highways to the roof
Noticing any of these? It's time to call the pros.

HOW IT WORKS
THE ROGUE WILDLIFE PROCESS

INSPECT
Full interior, attic and roofline inspection to identify the species, count the animals and map every entry point.

REMOVE
Humane trapping, hand removal or one-way doors, handled under Florida wildlife regulations with young reunited when present.

EXCLUDE
Sealing with galvanized steel mesh, vent guards and sealed fascia so the same animals cannot re-enter.

RESTORE
Waste and contaminated insulation removed, attic sanitized and deodorized, damage documented for your insurer.
PREVENTION THAT LASTS
EXCLUSION IS WHAT KEEPS THEM OUT
Heavy-gauge galvanized steel mesh at all soffit, ridge and valley gaps
Vent guards on gable, roof, bath and dryer vents
Chimney caps and one-way doors for active exits
Reinforced fascia and drip-edge repairs
Pool cage and screen enclosure sealing
Trim recommendations for limbs within six feet of the roof
Noticing any of these? It's time to call the pros.
